Five Questions, Five Answers (not)

So, as proposed, I am going to ask five questions of my BEDA buddies here, and then answer those same questions myself. Anyone else who reads my blog (aka Anna and Jeremiah) is encouraged to answer the questions as well, if they're interested. I figure this is a better way of spending my library desk hours than playing DeepLeap, as there's no way to pause the game when a patron comes along needing help. I've given one too many person an exasperated stare they really didn't deserve for interrupting my games-- but it's so addictive! I don't know how to stop!

So, I'm going to try to blog instead. Coming up with 5 questions is harder than I would have thought, probably because I am continually second guessing myself. But here's what I've come up with:

1. If your 13 year-old self met you today, not knowing who you were, would they think you were cool?
2. If you could have written any book in the world, which one would you pick to be yours, and why?
3. If you could live inside any movie, book, or play, which one would you choose?
4. What story about yourself have you told more times than any other? Can you tell it to us?
5. What is the strangest thing you've ever been paid to do?

Bonus question, for the nerdfighters amongst you: How did you discover Brotherhood 2.0?

Super double bonus nerdfighter question: Hank or John?

Triple secret bonus question for Doctor Who fans: who's YOUR Doctor? And who's your favorite companion?

... And I'm going to write the answers to these tomorrow, because I came home and got distracted by watching Mean Girls and 30 Rock with my roommate, because I am obsessed with Tina Fey and think everything she does is perfect. But I wanted to post the questions at least!

Oooh! Good questions! I"m going to have to think of better ones now because my questions are super lame.

1) In the past few years, I have become way nerdier than I ever have been. Although, I would probably think older me was cool due to sole fact that I am older and in college. It was very common for younger me to idolize older people, no matter what they were like.

2) If I could take the credit for any book it would definitely have to be Treasure Island. It has been my favorite book for many, many years and began opened my eyes to my own identity...if that makes sense.

3)I think I would definitely like to live inside Newsies, the epic fail Disney musical. I have always wanted my life to be a musical, so why not chose one with an exorbitant amount of gorgeous guys?

4)This is a hard one. I am not really one to have an arsenal of stories that I tell particularly often. I am much more willing to let the silence be silent instead of filling it with anything.

5) Dress up like a unicorn (in the play The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe) and dance around while Alsan sang a song to one of the boys about courage. Yeah, it was pretty sweet.

Bonus) My sister told me about the volgbrothers, about half way through 2.0 and I immediately fell in love with them.

Super Bonus) Jank

Triple super bonus) David Tennant will always be my Doctor and Rose is my favorite companion. Needless to say, Season 2 is my favorite. But my favorite episode is from Season 3, Don't Blink. I've never been one for action figures, but I bought a Weeping Angels action figure. Yeah... I really like Doctor Who.

1. I don't know. I was a pretty snotty thirteen-year-old. I mean, I was REALLY moody. I think I am way more fun now than I ever was in 8th grade. I'm not sure if my moody self would like the fun me, but I would really like to think so. Thirteen-year-olds NOW think I'm cool. Which I'm not sure helps my reputation...

2. Wow. Huh. I don't think I have a preference. I mean, there are some books I LOVED but I've never finished a book and said "MAN, I wish I had written that!" Is this strange?

3. I would have to pick a book by Juliet Marillier. I love her and her stories and the settings.

4. I tell a lot of stories. I think most recently I have been telling the story about my failed attempt to have my wisdom teeth removed. I will tell it, but not here, that is a lot of reading that I'd rather write as a blog, if that's okay?

5. I was paid to eat a spicy chicken wing once. Twenty dollars. It was gross, my face was on fire, and I couldn't taste half my meal. IT WAS SO WORTH IT.

Bonus questions:
-by complete accident. In fact, I think I was messing around on YouTube.
-Hank
